Since my last post I have been preparing for my return to Brasil. I'm glad and humbled for the opportunity to go and the invitation from the church in Recife. I've been preparing, researching ideas for the ministry I'll be privileged to do with the teenage girls and the follow up English teaching I will be doing. I've been getting together with a group who is going on the same program, but to different places, to pray and talk about subjects such as culture, culture shock and fundraising. It's been a blessing to have time set aside every week to focus on the behind-the-scenes stuff surrounding packing up and moving to a different country.
Today it snowed a lot, so I've got the day off from work. I'll be using it to catch up on some language study, catch up on some paperwork, and brainstorming for fundraising letters and people who I will ask for support. If you'd like to partner with me in this journey I'd first ask for prayer. I covet your prayers to strengthen and guide me through this process. Any other type of support is secondary to praying for me but if you'd like to get involved with financial support or by helping me with resources for the ministry I'll be participating in I would appreciate any and everything.
