Oi amigos! Estou voltando ao Brasil em 22 dias! Eu vou estar voando para Recife com o ministério LST. Eu estarei lá por 6 semanas.

Hi friends! I am returning to Brasil in 22 days! I will be flying to Recife with the LST ministry

Two days ago I got a life-changing phone call. Well, at least summer-changing. I had no plans to do anything but work all summer and go to graduate school in the fall (I still have not gotten in to grad school anywhere yet, but some applications are pending), but the Let's Start Talking ministry contacted me, saying they urgently needed to replace a team member going to Recife Brasil on May 10th. I am sad for the circumstances that led this man to drop out of the trip- he was diagnosed with inoperable lymphoma- and I will be praying for him, but it is an incredible opportunity. The trip is for 6 weeks and is already fully funded, thus why they needed someone to replace Mr. Anderson. God could not have timed things better. For extenuating circumstances, if they would have asked me but a month ago, I would have said no. But now I am completely free to go, and I prayed about it and made the decision within a couple of hours. The Let's Start Talking (LST) ministry equips us to teach English to Brazilians using the Bible. I am very excited about the opportunity to join this ministry, and I hope God will use me effectively and teach me what He wants to. I will be with one other team member, an older man named Dan, who has been on MANY LST trips. I am glad to be paired with a seasoned LST worker, and eagerly expect to learn so much from him while we strive to love Brazilians and bring glory to God there together!

I won't be returning to Niterói to visit my church family there, unfortunately, but that's okay!
